The centre was launched in 2011 with the aim of building a strong continental advocacy platform for logistics & supply chain with focus on Africa. It is a research based organization aiming to build knowledge & proffer solutions within its core competence and allied areas of influence. The centre is committed to specialized programs in global business, logistics and supply chain management and related fields. Our commitment to quality education is the driving force behind everything we do. It is a network centre for the promotion of studies, and activities that bring members to the cutting edge of business while facilitating useful synergies. The African Centre for Supply Chain is conceived to be the first Institute of its type in Nigeria and to transform rapidly to an international learning centre where Executives and Senior Government officials from both the Public and Private sectors in ECOWAS and indeed the whole African continent shall benefit.

Dr. Obiora Madu f.ACSC

Director General

Dr. Madu, an Adjunct Professor of Malaysia University of Science and Technology holds a Doctorate in Business Administration DBA from SMC University Switzerland, was a recipient of the 2014 National Productivity Order of Merit Award NPOM from the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Madu has over 30 years of related working experience with international corporate exposure in international trade, customs and maritime as well as transport and logistics/supply chain management. His experience in training and capacity building cuts across all the industries as has been shown in activities too many to list. He has experience working with international agencies like International Trade Centre in Geneva, The US Commercial Service, USAID, Commonwealth Secretariat and African Development Bank amongst others. He is also an adjunct lecturer at the Centre for Logistics and Transport University of Port Harcourt Nigeria.

He is is the CEO of Multimix Group, CEO of BPO Academy Nigeria and Director General of African Centre for Supply Chain. He is a member of The BEST board of Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Institute of Export of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Ghana and Certified Institute of Warehousing, Institute of Freight Forwarders of Nigeria and Institute of Logistics Management. A member of the Governing Council of NASME, member of International Association of Trade Training Organisation, President and Fellow of the Association of Outsourcing practitioners of Nigeria etc.

Dr. Obiora Madu is the author of seven books: Exporting - Frequently Asked Questions in Export Value Chain Financing, Agro Commodity Export Guide, Getting Paid in International Trade, Managing Import Logistics, Fundamentals of Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Warehouse & Inventory Management.

Prof. A. G. Sumaila f.ACSC

Chairman, Governing Council

Prof. Sumaila a first class geography graduate of University of Ibadan 1981, M.Sc. in Environment and Resources Planning (Transportation) from the University of Jos, Plateau State 1983; and Ph.D Environmental Planning (Transportation) 1989 from the same university. He won many scholarships and distinctions such as: University of Ibadan Prize for Best Student in the Faculty of Social Science in the year 1981; School of Post-Graduate Studies Prize for the Best Student in Environmental and Resources Planning Programme in 1983; Jos-Durham Linkage Agreement Fellowship for PhD Programme in University of Jos, Nigeria and University of Durham, UK (1985-1988). He is a member of the following professional bodies and associations:

Prof. Sumaila is currently a Senior Research Fellow/Senior Lecturer in the University of Jos. He was an acting Director General/Chief Executive of National Institute of Transport Technology, Zaria between August 2009 and March, 2010. He has, to his credit, many academic and professional publications. He also serves as Provost of College of Management Information Technology, American International University of West Africa, Gambia.

Daniel Ikpehai m.ACSC

National Coordinator
  1. An ex-banker with about 14 years banking experience. His reputation precedes him as one who is known to constantly meet and sometimes exceed targets. The Zenith of his career was becoming the Chief Financial Officer of one of the foremost indigenous barge logistics companies where he helped raise capital of about $10m within 1 year.
  2. A Logistics and Supply Chain practitioner where he has built reputation for cost containment, material resource planning and supply chain visibility, including development of KPIs for supply chain organizations.
  3. He is a financial modeller and a fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria. He holds an MBA in Supply Chain from Malaysia University of Science and Technology.
  4. Full member of African Centre for Supply Chain; Certified International Trade Manager; Certified International Trade Finance Specialist and a Certified International Trade Logistics Specialist from International Import Export Institute, Arizona.
  5. Won the 2005 Alder prize for innovative ideas that have the capacity to move the Federal Republic of Nigeria forward, in the name of Students’ Research Group, SRG.
  6. The uncelebrated brain behind vessel-to-barge operations at the Lagos port. This has seen many manufacturers of break-bulk imports save port storage cost in excess of N4bn annually.

Metu F. Obianuju m.ACSC

Administrative Manager

METU, FELICIA OBIANUJU, m.ACSC,m.IIEI, CITLS,CCCP.

Obianuju is presently the Administrative Manager of African Centre for Supply Chain, and a member of the ACSC National EXCO Team.

She is a full member of African Centre for Supply Chain and also a member of International Institute of Export and Import (I.I.E.I), Obianuju is a Certified International Trade Logistics Specialist from International Import-Export Institute, Arizona.

She is also a certified Customer Care Practitioner from B.P.O Academy, a Certified Sales and Marketing executive from resource intermediary, and a graduate of English Language from the Lagos State University.

Obianuju has an astute track record in sales, marketing, and customer service. She is a great manager of events, personnel and resources.

Uduak Lazarus m.ACSC

Secretary

Uduak Lazarus is a professional Connoisseurs with over 20 years of active and practical contribution to the Supply Chain profession. He “Commits to constant care with the drive for daily improvement”, as a Self-starter, Focused, Positive, Thorough and Enthusiastic Leader and Team-player.

He started his career in the Logistics and Supply Chain Industry with Maersk-Safmarine in 2003, progressing from his cherished role as a Documentation officer to coordinating vessels operations and export trade for the South- South of Nigeria.

His desire to expand his horizon in the Logistics and Supply Chain space made him exit the prestigious Shipping company to explore the field operations as a Freight Forwarder and Customs Agent before eventually taking on the challenging role to join in building the Logistics Unit in the then Notore’s Supply and Distribution Department in 2009. Today he continues to apply his continuously improved wealth of experience and professionalism effectively well as a nucleus of the Notore Supply Chain Department as the Head of Materials, Export and Import Operations.

Ibrahim Obafemi m.ACSC

Head of EXCO - Abuja Zone

Ibrahim Olu Obafemi, CITLS, MCILT, mACSC, mIAPHL, holds a BSc ( Ilorin, Nigeria), PD-LSCM ( NITT, Zaria) MBA- SCM(MUST, Malaysia). An astute Logistician with over 14 Years cross functional working experience in Energy (Electricity) distribution, Health, Transport Ops, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

He's a Certified International Trade Logistics Specialist and have acquired a Training Techniques for Trainers/ Facilitators on International Trade Centre (ITC- WTO) on Supply Chain Management, Modular Learning System (MLS- SCM). He's opportuned to have worked and trained by the NMOD/USA-DOD, Walter Reed Program- Nigeria on M&E Reporting Strategy, Logistics Management for HIV/AIDS and Health Commodities (LMHC). He has co-facilitated, promoted and coordinated the certified Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) training provider from business incubation/ Ops launch to a Chartered Certification training Provider.

He is currently coordinating the Transport and Logistics Ops of a DISCO. He is interested in spatial dynamics, Social and Sustainable Development and is happily married.

Kola is an alumnus of Lagos Business School with bias in Ownership Management Program. A diploma holder in Oil & Gas logistics at Westcoast Maritime Institute, Canada 2014. An International Business expert from European Business School-Spain. A Post Graduate Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (NITT)2009. First degree in Library and information Science from Bayero University, Kano Dec., 1995. Delegates to various international business forums. An astute manager of Men, materials, and resources; His drive, knowledge, pedigree with sterling experience and agility has contributed in positioning KSP as a player in the industry both locally and globally.

Kola is the founder/Managing Director KSP Shipping & Logistics Ltd. Among other companies includes KSP Farms Ltd, KSP Global Synergy Ltd, Governing Board Member KICC International School. Kola is a goal getter with focus on great rewards. He is a member of various professional groups listed below: -

David 0. Onaiwu-Ighodaro m.ACSC

Head of EXCO - Port Harcourt Zone

David Onaiwu-Ighodaro holds an MBA, (Marketing), from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology. He has over 37 years of cumulative working experience spanning Hospitality, Marketing, Commerce, Business Management/ Human Capital Development, Logistics and Supply Chain. David’s core competence in the past 24 years has been in the Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain, Contracts/Project Management, and Commercial arms of the Oil and gas Industry in Nigeria. He spent bulk of these years, at very Senior and Strategic management Levels, in the service of the foremost Operator of the single largest Oil and Gas Free Zone in the world, providing Logistics and Supply Chain services for all International Oil Corporations in Nigeria, that represents a significant percentage of the budget of the Industry.

He was a pivotal part of the Team that transformed the Onne Oil Service Center to a world class Deep Offshore Support Base, that became the world-renowned Oil and Gas Free Zone in the past 15-20years. As a Logistics and Supply Chain human capacity developer, David has trained numerous first level graduates who have become Senior Managers and Top players in diverse spheres in the Logistics, Shipping and Maritime sector of the Oil and Gas, and Allied industries in Nigeria. He has attended several Nigerian Oil and Gas Conferences, as well as several Offshore Technical Conferences in Houston-Texas, covering the Oil and Gas and allied Industries.

David is the Board Chairman and Vision bearer at EL-Sar Services Ltd, a company envisioned to become the leader in Supply Chain, Including Door-to-Door, Logistics Management and Consultancy Services in the Oil and Gas, and allied companies in Nigeria and the globe. David is a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Management, and a Fellow ofnthe African Center for Supply Chain. He was, for several years, a member of the Global Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, (CSCMP), USA, and attended several Conferences and Round Table events. He is currently the General Manager and start up Head Operations at Notore Power and Infrastructure, an arm of Notore Chemical Industry-Developer of the Notore Oil and Gas Free Zone, Notore Industrial City.

Abdulkadir Osori Hajarah m.ACSC

Abdulkadir Osori Hajarah Ladidi is a Good team player with the ability to coordinate and motivate other team members; ability to work long hours without supervision; self-motivator; ability to set targets and track milestones towards target; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, willing to learn and to accommodate positive criticisms. Born in Lokoja in 1978, she attained her B.Tech (Quantity Survey) in 2004 with a Second Class Lower at the Federal university of Technology, Minna, Niger State as well as an in MBA Supply Chain and Logistic from Malaysia University of Science and Technology, Malaysia. She is a seasoned professional who has been with the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT) since 2008. She has worked in various departments such as procurement, Planning as well as heading the monitoring and evaluation unit in the corporate strategy department. She is currently the head of strategy in the Satellite Broadband and Broadcasting Company (SBBC).

Ever the eager learner and researcher, she went on to participate in numerous trainings and workshops such as Project Management Monitoring and Evaluation. (Rech Management Center London, UK), Strategic Planning & Business process development. (Kuro Communication Ltd), Efficiency and Performance Improvement workshop Centre for Management Development, (Abuja), Building Communications Satellite Capability in Nigeria.(ISPON Institute of software practitioners of Nigeria), Chartered Project Manager (Stage 1&2) (CPM Institute Nigeria.
